Additional Information

This class will take place on the map used the previous days for the North American Orienteering Championships Middle and Long distance races which the instructor made in 2023-2024. In the morning participants will go on a map walk with the mapper and discuss the mapper's approach to the various topics listed above. After lunch, participants will visit a different section of the map and will practice fieldwork with the opportunity to get real-time feedback from the instructor.

This class is part of Orienteering Canada's Learning Summit, on August 12-13 in Calabogie and Ottawa, Ontario. The Learning Summit also includes courses for officials and courses and an Intro to Fieldwork mapping class
